This was the first time I used trekking poles before this most recent elk hunt. I could climb in and out of a steep and deep basin like I never had before. It seemed to save my body and allow me to move quicker and smoother. Once I went to a grove with the poles, I felt like I was being propelled forward to cover more ground. These Elite poles were strong and lightweight.

I gave tried many brands. These are by far the best. Light weight, built stronger than previous brands. The adjustable tension keeps poles in place packing up and down steep grade. Highly recommend.

Tackled the Alaska tundra with these not 2 days after I got them, put along of weight and stress on them but they held true and never gave me any issues, the tip of the grips having that hook really helps use them as canes when going downhill. Big upgrade over my last set
